Thursday 12 September is R U OK? Day 2024.
This is our National Day of Action and provides an ideal opportunity to engage students and the wider school community with the values of R U OK?
In the teaching industry, a lot can happen in a year, a month, a week. We all go through life's ups and downs every day and now is a particularly busy time to be a teacher.
Regular, meaningful conversations with our teaching colleagues and the people close to you can help prevent small things from becoming big things. Everyone needs someone to check in regularly about what’s really going on, so when others find themselves struggling, they know you’re someone they can talk to.
As teachers, a fundamental part of our role is to help students learn how they can support each other and be good friends. The RUOK website offers brilliant resources and activities that we can implement into our classroom. Each activity is mapped to the Australian curriculum and includes an activity template, description and differentiation strategies.

There are multiple 'Print and Go' templates for your classroom which can be used as a teaching stimulus.
A conversation could save a life!
